"Speed on Speed"

The Dam of this colt is, Wham Bam, the aptly named daughter of Zedative and Iminthemoodforlove.

She was one of the fastest mares of her time in Brisbane when trained by Bryan Guy. Although renowned as a speed horse, Wham Bam showed her fighting qualities when finishing a close 2nd in the McDougall Stakes over 1200m at her second race start.

During the early months of 2002 she was successful as a short course specialist, particularly, at the Gold Coast and retired through injury with a record of 15 starts for 3 wins, 4 seconds and 4 thirds.

This is her first foal born on 10th September 2003 and her mating with Honours List produces a colt that is thick set like his mother but with the strength needed to get to the line. He is guaranteed to be a speed runner in the early 2 year old races.

The presence of Danzig in both the sire line and dam line stamps the quality of this horse.

"A Quality Nick"

It's only in the last couple of seasons that breeders have recognised the value of mating daughters of Danehill with Zabeel. This filly will prove that the reverse nick of mating Zabeel mares with sons of Danehill will be just as successful.

Zirascible is a daughter of Zabeel from a Vice Regal mare and can boast the Melbourne Cup placegetter MERCATOR in her family. And let's not forget that the same nick produced the Cup winner JEZABEEL.

With a record of 3 wins, 3 seconds and 1 third from 16 starts and trained by Gai Waterhouse, Zirascible was retired early due to injury.

This filly born on 10th September 2003 has taken on the attributes of her mother and displays the tenacious spirit that we all expect from Zabeel mares. But again, she shows the quality appearance and athleticism that is present with all Honours List progeny.

The key to this breeding nick is the influence of Northern Dancer in both families through Danzig in the sire line of Honours List and Nureyev in the sire line of Zabeel.

"All Set To Run"

This colt is the fourth foal of All Wild, an unraced daughter of Brocco. She has previously been mated with Octagonal, Grand Lodge and Honour and Glory. The last mentioned mating produced an outstanding colt that was sold earlier this year to race in Hong Kong.

All Wild is from the well credentialed All Sold family that has produced the group winners ALL OUR MOB, ALL TIME HIGH and ALL ARCHIE. More closely related to the mare is her half sister, the stakes placed, Al Samoud who is still expected to reach higher levels in her next preparation.

The Honours List colt was born on 19th September 2003 and may well prove to be the pick of the bunch. He certainly looks the part.

The influence of Hail To Reason blood through his outstanding son in Roberto in both 4th generation families added to the impressive record that Brocco is establishing as a sire of broodmares, makes this colt an interesting proposition

"Pure Class"

Flurry's Autumn produced 6 named foals, all winners, including Autumn Day by Bellotto. The others include ROYAL SASH (Gr.3. winner), Flurry's Gem (Gr.3. placed) and Bronc (Gr.3. placed).

This filly is the second foal of Autumn Day. Her first foal was a Canny Lad colt sold at this year's Inglis Melbourne Sale who has been named Candoo Kid and is trialling well.

This filly was born on 20th October 2003 and represents pure class. She will no doubt appeal to anyone looking for an early 2 year old as well as a racehorse that will develop into a strong staying type as she gets older.

The Honours List- Autumn Day mating was planned to take advantage of the successful Danzig ( Sire of Danehill) - Mr Prospector ( Sire of Bellotto) nick.

"The Real Deal"

A review of the pedigree for the Grand Scenic colt shows a propensity for staying blood in the mare line. However, his physical appearance and the influence of the mating with Honours List give every impression that he will be an early 2 year old runner.

Grand Scenic finished 2nd in the SAJC St Leger (Gr.3.) and is closely related to the AJC Derby (Gr.1.) and Caulfield Cup (Gr.1.) winner TRISTARC.

This colt was born on 1st November 2003 and has improved enormously throughout this preparation.

His bloodlines show a double cross through Northern Dancer with an interesting mix of Danehill in the sire line and Sadler's Wells in the dam line. More importantly, this creates the appearance of the outstanding taproot broodmare Thong twice in the pedigree.
