| Couzinz has hit
the ground running in its aim to produce stake-winning
progeny from its resident mares and the recent
slashing win of Golden
Fox in the BTC Golden Stakes is only the
beginning.
Sweet Humam,
the dam of Golden Fox,
is resident at Couzinz and has produced a lovely,
strong filly by Honours
List since her original mating with Foxhound
in 2000.
The Couzinz property at Allora on the Darling
Downs is owned by Bill Duncan and Cameron Osborne
who have combined their thoroughbred assets and
knowledge developed during thirty plus years of
involvement in the industry.
Bill Duncan has returned to his home state after
twenty years in Sydney where he transformed a
small debt collection agency into Australia's
largest collection agency, the Receivables Management
Group. Having now sold his business and made a
large investment in thoroughbred racing and breeding
stock over many years he returns to Queensland
to utilise his management expertise and Thoroughbred
knowledge at Couzinz where the majority of his
breeding interests have now been consolidated.
Cameron Osborne, well known in Brisbane medical
circles as a sports physician and a former team
doctor for the Australian Wallabies and Queensland
Reds, has well respected thoroughbred industry
experience and credentials. He established Croswood
Stud at Wyreema in 1982, which subsequently became
Vatana Farm and now Carringbush Stud. |
